November 3 – Day 308

National Sandwich Day got me like whoa

I’ve been growing my own sprouts on and off for years.
It’s really easy.
You get some sprouting seeds like alfalfa seeds or mung beans
Then you soak about a tablespoon of them over night in filtered water.
Then you strain and rinse, strain and rinse, strain and rinse.
Do that for like a 5 days.
And you get sprouts.
You’re like a little Farmer Brown in your very own kitchen.
Or living room.
Wherever you wanna store your sprouts.

Now my genius touch on the process is using a French Press. It makes it so easy for straining!

Anyway, back to National Sandwich Day.

I channelled my inner Sandwich Artist and layered some hummus, cucumber and sprouts on some flax seed whole wheat bread
