I had no idea pierogis were spelled that way until today –National Pierogi Day
I barely recall ever eating pierogis before
I definitely have never made them before
Rather than get carried away with making dough and boiling potatoes, I bought some in the frozen section of Whole Foods
They are, simply put, potato filled dumplings.
The ultimate white people food.
White on white.
…These had cheddar in them which made them a little orange.
I boiled them from frozen for 5 minutes, then sprinkled salt and pepper on them.
There was something flesh-like about them, in colour and texture.
I ate five and felt full but malnourished.
